The Oldest Dinosaur in North America

“The Oldest Dinosaur in North America” Present by Dr. David Lovelace June 29th, 2pm

Did someone say dinosaurs?  If you enjoy bones and rock, join us on Sunday, June 29th, at 2:00 at the Dubois Museum.  The paleontological team led by Dr. David Lovelace of the University of Wisconsin Madison Geology Museum will present their scientific findings.  These include North America’s oldest dinosaur “Ahvaytum bahndooiveche” named in the Shoshone language found near Dubois.   Both Dr. Lovelace and his co-lead author Aaron Kufner will talk about their fascinating discoveries found in the prehistoric rock of the Popo Agie Formation of the Wind River region.

Cosponsored along with the Jackson Hole Land Trust Wind River Program and the Friends of the Dubois Badlands.
